Shopping Locally In Yesiloz,

The local shops in Yesiloz are about 5 minutes from the villas. They have most basic items, and are very reasonably priced. and the people who work there are very friendly.
The local shop have fresh bread, fruit and vegetables every day.

Shopping Locally in Demitas and Gazipasa

Often one of the joys of a villa holiday is to spend time in the market buying locally grown fruit and vegetables and then preparing dishes in the comfort of your own home, of course the great advantage Turkish Villa rentals is that if your idea of a holiday is to abandon all cooking duties then meals can be cooked by us and served by your pool or the restaurant.

Gazipasa is the place to go for a look at an old Turkish Town, less touristy than Alanya. Guests will need either to drive, get a Dolmus or get Sid to arrange a lift to Demitas and Gazipasa.

A Day Out Shopping In Gazipasa
Gazipasa is modern but still maintains the old traditional ways of life.
No women to be seen. In Gazipasa the women tend to stay indoors!!
Gazipasa is full of places where men sit and gossip.
Turkish men know how to enjoy an afternoon.
These sidewalk eating places in Gazipasa are authentic Turkish restaurants, and the food is all traditional.
Gazipasa is the place for a £2 haircut and shave, or freshly made Borek.
Everywhere in Gazipasa the locals are either eating or chatting. This lunch probably costs about £2.

Shopping in the Local Market
There are lots of frequent markets which are full of locally grown fruit and vegetables.
Every thing is really cheap and everybody is very friendly.

Locally there is a choice of shops which sell foods and drinks including fresh bread, milk, coffee, margarine, butter, sugar, tea, cheese, chicken, biscuits, rice, pasta, cooking oil, fruit, vegetables, sweets, coke and beer as well as a selection of Turkish food stuffs.

On your first day we can arrange to take you to Alanya to do a "Shop".

With a car there is a choice of going either to Gazipasa which is about 10km south along the coast road where there is all the food you will need with lots of selection and choice.

About 5 Km north on the way to Alanya is Demirtas which is smaller but with a reasonable selection. 8 KM further on is Mahmutlar which is a tourist town with supermarkets other shops and lots of hotels.

Another 6 km is Alanya which is a shoppers paradise.

 There is an excellent local bus service all year round. They go every 15 minutes or so to Alanya and in the summer go from about 6.00am till 10.pm at night. Sid will have details of times etc. They buses run along the road next to the beach so are within easy walking distance. This is cheap reliable service which local use.
