A vacation in Turkey is not complete without a day of rafting on the Koprulu River. The Koprulu is a river of crystal clear water. The water is cold but after a while you get used to it, with the splashing and crashing everybody eventually gets wet. The wide river flows gently through the magnificent landscape of Koprulu Canyon National Park. It is no wonder that this river has become a popular tourist attraction for visitors. There are expert rafting guides brief the group on National Park safety procedures , and use of equipment Participants may choose between an inflatable canoe or raft. You can chose Kayaks and Canoes which also offer a more active rafting trip. No previous rafting experience is necessary. Rafts hold 8-9 people and are manned by a river guide. They are great for families. Everyone must wear life-jackets. So, even if you can not swim you can enjoy rafting. There are set places to stop for a rest and lunch is served half way along the river. There are lots of trips for children to enjoy, and the best we enjoyed was the "white Water Rafting". It was a full day, including lunch and was not just fun and enjoyable but was set in the most beautiful park and mountain range. It took about 4 hours and was fun packed all the way. |

Pamukkale (19 km from Denizli) is lined with
oleander bushes which anticipate the relaxing
